We're Shortlisted for the Insider Made in Yorkshire Awards 🏆

We're so proud to announce that we've been shortlisted for the 2022 Made in Yorkshire Awards!

We're shortlisted for the Food & Drink Award, celebrating businesses using impressive innovation and regional products in their food and drink offerings.

Everyone at True North is passionate about our customers having a great time, great products, and a great experience, from a leisurely lunch or after work drinks, through weekend partying to a relaxed Sunday roast, and we can't wait to find out the results of the awards in March!

Here's a few reasons why we're nominated:

1. In 2021 we opened two new venues, The Old Grindstone in Crookes, and The Horse & Jockey in Wadsley, bringing us up to fourteen venues in South Yorkshire and Derbyshire

2. We introduced a new experience, The Forum Cocktail Masterclass, to sit alongside our Sheffield School of Gin

3. We invested in a dedicated Drinks Coordinator to develop exciting drinks menus for all our venues, as well as tailor high quality cocktails to each venue

4. We mix up our menus with every season, keeping them current and ahead of trends, as well as offering our annual food weeks, supper clubs, and using locally sourced produce to create the best dishes possible

5. We worked with Sheffield Children's Hospital to distil a limited edition Bears & Berries Sheffield Dry Gin to promote the Bears of Sheffield campaign and raise money for the children's hospital

6. The Half Pint Marathon returned for 2021, encouraging our local community to get back into hospitality venues, support independent businesses, explore our wonderful city, and raise £4,054 for Sheffield Mind

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Leeds on the 17th of March, wish us luck, and hopefully we won't trip on our way up to the stage if we win!
