5 reasons to collect your food order

By now you will have seen many of your favourite Sheffield independents changing the way that they operate so that you can enjoy restaurant-quality food from the comfort of your own home during the pandemic. Back in May, we launched True North at Home, serving up popular dishes from a number of our venues including pies, fish and chips, pizzas, cheesecakes, and even roast dinners with all of the trimmings!

The menu is nicely split between The Old House, The Common Room, Forum Kitchen + Bar and The Waggon & Horses - so there's definitely something for everyone. We're operating from Forum Kitchen + Bar's premises and are open from Wednesday to Sunday.

Many loyal True North Brew Co customers have already taken advantage of being able to choose from any of our participating venues in one order and now we want to highlight a few reasons why it's better to collect your order rather than opt for delivery:

1. There's no delivery charge!

This might be the most obvious, but it's true. Some platforms add a hefty delivery fee onto your order - just think what you could buy with that saving?

2. We'll give you 10% off

We'd prefer to see your smiling faces and will even give you 10% off for making the journey over to us. Enter the code Take10 when you place your order for collection.

3. Convenience

There's nothing worse than watching your food being collected and then driven to other houses while you patiently wait, getting more hangry by the minute. That's why collecting your food at a time that is most convenient for you, is a great option.

4. Time-saving

Much like the last point, you won't have to wait for your order to be delivered and you can even pre-order ahead of opening or select 'ASAP'.

5. NHS discount

NHS staff are eligible for a 25% discount when collecting their order with a valid NHS I.D. To receive 25% off, enter the code NHS2020 when placing your order and make sure you have your NHS I.D. ready to show when you collect.

If collection isn't suitable for you and you live within a 5-mile radius of our main hub (Forum Kitchen + Bar) you can, of course, opt to order a no-contact delivery via Uber Eats, Deliveroo or City Grab. Simply download the participating apps and your True North at Home order will be delivered to your designated safe place.
