15 things you can do in True North venues

Our customers have been extremely supportive and kind throughout the last few months, so we want to join in with the positivity. With all of the Tier 3 restrictions placed on Sheffield and Barnsley, here are 15 things you can still do in True North Brew Co venues.

You can still:

1. Receive a warm welcome

Our teams are super friendly, just look at some of them...

2. Enjoy a meal with your family and housemates

We've got plenty of substantial meal options for you to get your teeth stuck into.

3. Mix households in our outdoor marquee areas*

Ok, so you can only do this in The Blue Stoops as Dronfield is in Tier 2. If you live in Derbyshire then we can accommodate tables of up to 6 people from 1 household inside and groups of up to 6 people from mixed households outside.

4. Dine in a Covid secure space

All of the safety measures we have put in place mean that we can continue to welcome you for food, drink, and takeaway in the named venues above. Please visit our Covid-19 page to find out how we're keeping you safe.

5. Receive offers and promotions

Do you know what everyone needs right now? A happy hour! We're giving you 2-4-1 on drinks between 4pm - 6pm, Monday to Friday. Simply book a table for food in advance at The Waggon and Horses or The Blue Stoops and you'll be guaranteed to receive two drinks for the price of one.

6. Work remotely in our venues

Leave the house and indulge in free Wi-Fi and delicious coffee. We're passionate about great coffee and you can learn about the journey our coffee makes from seed to cup here.

7. Hold business meetings with a delicious meal.

We can safely host your business meeting for up to 30 people in a covid safe space. Our dedicated function rooms are the perfect setting for this and they come complete with additional equipment too. Please speak to our bookings team to discuss your requirements.

8. Attend our weekly Quiz nights*

Everyone loves a quiz and let's face it - it's just a nice time to get out of the house at the moment. Put your knowledge to the test at The Waggon and Horses on a Tuesday or The Broadfield and The Blue Stoops on a Wednesday and we'll make sure that you have a cracking time.

9. Visit Santa for breakfast*

Join Santa for a special festive breakfast where younger visitors can write their Christmas list and show it to the man himself. Adults get a full English breakfast and a hot beverage and children get a child's breakfast, juice, and a present from Santa. Breakfast with Santa is available at The Waggon and Horses, The Blue Stoops, The British Oak, The York, The Crown and Anchor, The Milton Arms, and The Punch Bowl.

10. Book a Christmas gathering

We are still taking Christmas and New Year's Eve bookings for all our venues and we would love to give you something to look forward to in December. We have a few places left on our Candle Making, Wreath Making, and Bottomless Brunch events, and our restaurants are booking up for festive meals too. Please take a look at our Christmas page or contact our bookings team on 0114 280 8222 for more information.

11. Celebrate New Year's Eve

Say goodbye to 2020! New Year's Eve is likely to be a little different this year. But fear not, we still have a cracking evening planned. Food is served until 8pm and we'll toast to the New Year at 9pm with a complimentary glass of prosecco for those dining with us.

12. Plan ahead for 2021

We are all keeping our fingers crossed that 2021 is going to be a better year and with venues spanning Yorkshire and Derbyshire, we're experts in every occasion. From birthday celebrations, weddings, christenings, and wakes, to corporate and networking events or private meetings we can create the perfect setting to suit you. Take a look at all of our venues to find the ideal fit for your occasion.

13. Attend a Sheffield School of Gin experience

Join us in our new home for Sheffield School of Gin, located above the True North Brewery on Eldon Street. You will learn all about the history of gin, develop a deeper understanding of botanicals and become an expert in the distillation of gin.

Take a look at our upcoming event dates here or if you want to book a virtual gin school, please get in touch.

14. Enjoy True North at Home

True North at Home is the takeaway service for our venues, serving up all your favourites to enjoy at home, including guilty pleasures, Sunday roasts, and vegan delights. Let us come to you with your chosen delivery option or take True North home with you! Participating venues are The Blue Stoops, Riverside Kelham, The Broadfield, The Crown and Anchor and The Waggon and Horses.

15. Shop local!

If you're looking to support local independent businesses, please take a look at our True North store. It's fully stocked with gin, sanitiser, gift cards, Henderson's Relish and we hope to add your favourite True North beers again too!

We would love to have you join us in our venues. Our dedicated bookings team is on hand during this time to ensure you are looked after, no matter what the occasion and we CAN ensure that you have a fantastic experience and a little bit of normality in these strange times!
